'Corse you can! You go out to the Daniel O'Connell Hotel in North Adelaide on Friday night December 12 and look at pan!c. You can listen as well - if you bring your listening gear. And bring your list of favourite requests, too. Nothing makes pan!c happier than subserviently complying with commands to play Noo York, Noo York; or songs by that Irish pratt -- that 'Don't pay the ferryman' peat-burner. Anyway, let's just forget that goose... you just go there, to the Daniel O'Connell on Friday night, and then...
On Saturday night December 13, you go to the Norwood Hotel and you see The Grouse. Simple as coughing in your rompers. Daisy, The Preacher and Rock-Wrists Boundy will be your entertainment gurus for the evening; put yourselves in their hands and feel the colours, man. Smell the groove. Live music kicks off at around 9.00pm.
So, you see - you can pan!c and still have a grouse time. Late breaking news! A fortunate (for some) gig shuffling has given the world (yes, the world! No point underplaying your hand) a rare (uncooked, that is) opportunity to witness Double Wammy ripping the bag - and spilling the marbles - at the Semaphore Workers Club on Sunday Evening, December 14. Unrehearsed, tired and emotional, they will be; perhaps they won't have cleaned their teeth since breakfast and might not be all that nice to get next to; perhaps one of them will be in a snaky mood (probably) but that's what it's like when you've got the world's Number 1 - that's Number Three Minus Two - exponents of .... shit, i've forgotten what they're good at ... oh yes... the premier Power Soul ... thingamajigs on stage. At the Semaphore Workers Club. Sunday evening. At Semaphore. Did i say they were Double Wammy!? Anyway, it's them.
VALE: Lez Kaczmarek. Friend and inspiration, a great motivator and always a bright light; you will be sadly missed, you cheeky bastard.
