Have a Grouse Friday 13th Print E-mail
Monday, 09 March 2009

Sample ImageWe snap our fingers at you, Friday 13th. We waggle our tadgers in your face. The Grouse will show no fear as it takes to the stage at Finn McCools Norwood Hotel on Friday March 13. Quite honestly, if you were going to be afraid of Friday 13th you might as well spend the rest of your life hiding under the bed from dust mites or running away to the mid western desert region to escape radioactive stuff. You'd be afraid of your own shadow! And, as any schoolboy will tell you... the shadow knows! You'd be scared to drink water because more than 100 percent of people who have died in the past month have admitted to drinking water at some time in their lives! You'd be scared to ...... Ok. We've disappeared up our own fundamentals here. The point is: Friday Night March 13 the rockin' Grouse plays the Norwood Hotel. Live music kicks off at 9.00 pm - provided there are no strangely unlucky circumstances preventing this from happening.

Australian Made

Speaking of unlucky things made me think of lucky things and what could be more lucky than a four-leaf clover? Eh? Answer me that! So... as the luck of the Irish is well known ( just wait a moment - I'm getting there) as is their propensity for gathering together and having a good time with their knobbly shellelaghs and pints of Guinness (Christ this is taking a while, isn't it? Let's spill the grist) Saturday night, March 14, St Paddy's Day in advance, the fabulous OZ Rock Tribute Band Australian Made will be agitating the Guinness froth at the Irish Club, Carrington Street Adelaide. There, i've said it. Now you have to be there. Ring the Irish Club for details but get a feckin' move on, I haven't got all day!

Blues and Roots music stars will shine at Variety Club Fundraiser

Featuring Hoy Hoy, Double Wammy, the Harmonics, Amber Poulton, Sweet Baby James and Rob Eyers, Blues Avenue, Paul Hay, Chris Finnen, Michael Princi, the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, Adolf Hitler, Mary Antoinette's head, that footbal bloke who poked his thumb up that other football player's arse and the Lock Ness Monster.  See... absolutely everybody will be there. The event will run from 2pm till 8pm at a private residence in Glen Osmond and ticket price of 100 bucks will include food and beverages and fundraising donation. This is a ticket only benefit and we urge you to book now for the event. For bookings ring Loredana at Variety on 82938744.
