Sample ImageThe Grouse, those rock-hard darlings of the cover band scene, will be ramping up the fun at Finn McCools on Saturday August 23 with Mike Hill wearing out his tonsils and Sweet Baby James Meston shredding his dakkercasters. Rob Homewrecker Boundy will be pounding on the kit while the Preacher plods his plunker - his long schlong Deep South Preacher Bass, that is. The place starts rocking shortly after 9 pm.

Sample ImageBlues Avenue, the kings of juke-joint stomp, sent a wave of vibe throughout the universe on Friday August 22 when they took to the stage at Studio 89 in prospect.  Blues Avenue comprises Sweet Baby James Meston on acousric guitar and vocals and The Preacher Denis Surmon on double bass, cajon and vocals. Studio 89 is a great - perhaps unique - venue, offering an excellent live music room combined with tasty up-market cafe food. And drink. Host Romero is a big Elvis fan and is not shy about treating the guests to a show over dinner. Blues, jive and rock are the musical main courses. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.
