Yes folks and folkesses, the silly season has receeded into the hazy past and it's back to normal, or what passes for normal. Speaking of normal, The Grouse - those serenely normal gentlemen of rock, will be doing their normal work at the Normal Hotel - did I say "Normal Hotel"?, I meant the Norwood Normal - er, Norwood Hotel, on Saturday January 3. Everything will be normal, there is nothing to be concerned about. We will just see you there, ok?

And what else is going on in the very normal 2009 January? well, here's a few tips:

pan!c will be attacking the Norwood Hotel on Saturday January 10

pan!c also will be raising the already high roof of the Daniel O'Connell Hotel (Normal Adelaide... oh! Did it again - North Adelaide) on Saturday January  17;

The Grouse will be rocking the Emu Hotel (Morphett Vale) on Sunday, January the very normal 18; 

Double Wammy will be blowing up the Semaphore Workers Club on Sunday January 25, just like they normally do;

Blues Avenue might have a gig on Tuesday January 27 (not sure about this yet - but that's pretty normal)

And The Grousies are back at the Norwood Hotel on Friday January 30.

So there you are. Your social calendar for the month of January is sorted; if you do the right thing and follow this closely, we'll see all of you fairly regularly and get to know each other quite well. Everything will be fine. Normal. Then, we can take a forward look at February and so on and so on for the rest of the year. Before you know it, 2009 will be under you belt, safely behind us, and we can move on.
